I had this wad marked down for over a year to try some max runs on, but after a quick look around i went for speed runs. It then turned out that many of the maps have very linear layouts making speed running a frustrating enterprise. i came very close to bettering the map03 run here just to be mocked by a SSG surviving chaingunner at the last step. Still, frantic hitscan dodging fun (well, to watch at least!)

I battled against this map for quite some time to get the max under 2 mins but alas, even here i have monster-teleports-in-about-an-hour-late trouble, you can see me deciding to scarper and come back for the revenant later only to change my mind, untidy but still, somehow 10 seconds faster than my previous best!

Have done this one in under 5 mins but had a lot of desync trouble with prboom so gave up in the end

Here it is, the 4:39 max which desyncs due to a crusher bug, a
modified prboom
kills the bug and allows the demo to play back without desyncing, read more about it

Part of the doomworld fragport demoset, a fun arena map, had quite a bit of trouble getting a good time because it required a good chunk of infighting to get it down. still untidy in places though.

Part of the doomworld hell2pay demoset, large and lots of monsters which caused lots of 99% finishes, very frustrating and this run has monsters that refuse to die just to rub it in, should be doable in under 10 mins

The first map i released a demo for and about the size and challenge i was trying to find. this is a return vist to that map getting the time to under 2 mins by a little sideways thinking re: the route.

Part of the doomworld vile flesh demoset, quite a drawn out linear level leaving little scop for route variation aside from missing monsters and returning later. The early provision of a beserk lends itself to some cocky fist fights and the ending is untidy because i forgot to set my gamma level and was stuck in the dark!
